What to Do

Well there is a delay on the cabinets of our new house. So now we are sitting and waiting..... Mostly I appriciate the extra time to get the current house ready. There is still a bit more painting to be done and lots of little things in each of the rooms. What do you notice most when you go into someone's house?

Quick Update

Darryl and I went to the house and were happy to see the progress. The walls have a coat of primer and the door are hung and framed. And we have a basement floor and a tub.

Yeah, it's nice to see things moving along. I'll be sure to post some pictures soon.

Here are some recent pictures of the house. As you can see the drywall is up. It is starting it look more like a house, and quite possibly bigger then my house now.


That is Darryl and Alexis in our living room.



And here is a picture of the skylight. I couldn't be happier that we put this in. We did lots of things in this house that I have never had before (hardwood floors, walkout basement) so I'm not sure how I'll feel about these things, but standing in the stairwell it is the only nautral light. And as Mom pointed out, it will save us money because we won't have to keep the light on as much.

A Video Walkthru

Drywall

So Darryl and I walked through the house this weekend. The insulation is all in so it's starting to feel a little more like rooms and a home rather then a lot of wood. Although still similar to a lot of wood. We are starting to get on selling our house. Painting, cleaning up junk, taking everything off the fridge. It's good feeling to get rid of "stuff". How far in advance should you put a house up for sale? We are in a sellers market, if that make a difference. Darryl also did a video walk thru so that will be posted in the next day or so.
