The House is Up For Sale

Well after a cleaning weekend bonanza here are the pictures for selling the old house. Here's the living room. Notice our designer's lovely mantle and they encouaged us to get lots of plants. Also the TV is on the opposite wall of when you come in.



What use to be the playroom is now the dining room. Notice Darryl's lovely table and chairs. Plus our favorite paintings that were moved to this room.

News and Pics

Good news in regards to the house. The cabinets should be delivered in the next 2-4 weeks. Yipee, another 6 weeks after that and we should be ready to move. Yeahhh!! So we are looking at about August 15th =) Now it's time to get into gear with selling our place now. Here are some pics of the house, which has not changed in two weeks, and probably not for another two weeks.

Here's obviously the front of the house. Yeah for brown, will hide the dirt better then the yellow we have now.

This is from the back corner of the lots, which may not seem like a big deal, but if you live in any big city it is. Yeah for a big lot!!!

Jeopardy Theme

The Jeopardy theme is playing in my head each time I think of the new house. We are STILL waiting to hear about the cabinets. I am going to call tomorrow and ask about it. Hopefully there will be an answer and we'll know when the current house can go on the market.

Updates

Well we are STILL waiting to hear about the cabinets. In the mean time they are working on some of the other "stuff". Painting, siding and staining. Here are some pictures.



From the side of the house. The little window on the left side of the picture is our "mountain" window. As in you can see the mountains from this window.



The living room with the mantle. I love the contrast of the dark wood and light paint.

In the meantime we are also working on "staging" the house. We moved the huge red chair into the den to make the living room bigger and are cleaning out toy room to turn into a formal dining room. We're taking the beautiful table Darryl made and putting it into the dining room to make a good first impression when someone walks in. I also bought matching lamps for the bedroom upstairs. By the times it's done it should look beautiful.

I'll post pictures of our "staged" house soon =)

The losing date is unknown right now. All we can hope for is sooner rather than later. The current 'guess-timate' from the builder is mid July.

A couple other comments about the pictures. All the railing, door frames baseboard and whatnot will be a dark walnut stain colour when their finished to match the walnut flooring, which unfortunately won't happen until after the kitchen is installed. It's the kitchen that is throwing the schedule out. We haven't got confirmation on the delivery date of the kitchen and once that's received, it's probably another 3-4 weeks until it's delivered and installed. The builder mentioned that it's generally another 6 weeks following kitchen delivery/install until possession.
